ABOUT ME

I am Laura Teiwes – actress, voice artist, and singer.

I trained as an actress from 2016 to 2020 at the University of Music and Performing Arts Frankfurt am Main. During my studies, I already performed in several productions at Schauspiel Frankfurt.

From 2020 to 2023, I was a permanent ensemble member at the Junges Staatstheater Karlsruhe.

Since then, I have been working freelance: performing as a guest at various theatres, appearing regularly in film and television productions, working as a voice artist, and teaching workshops and courses.

Alongside my artistic work, I have been collaborating with Marie Bäumer since 2023 at her atelier Escapade in Provence – a place for creativity, exchange, and artistic processes.

In 2024, together with my colleague Janina Haring, I co-founded the independent feminist theatre collective analyse schmitt kollektiv.

In our work, we develop our own projects, direct collaboratively, and tour our productions in various cities.

My work is driven by curiosity, conviction, and the desire to tell stories that move, unsettle, and open up new spaces.
